Welcome to Historic Sprucewold Lodge
Unique Accommodations in Boothbay Harbor, Maine

Travel back in time when you visit our stately 29-bedroom log lodge, hand-hewn in the 1920's. This lovely old building is the last remaining log structure, of its large size, east of the Mississippi River!

Sprucewold LodgeNestled in a grove of evergreens on a hill above Boothbay Harbor, Sprucewold Lodge offers an opportunity to enjoy the rustic charm and warmth of a Maine mountain lodge. But it's only minutes from the rock-bound seacoast and the bustling harbor with its beautiful boats, terrific shops and a variety of fine restaurants.

Come to enjoy our old-fashioned hospitality. In the morning, our famous buffet breakfast (included in our room rate) is served in the dining hall. Enjoy eggs and bacon, sausage and pancakes, fresh fruit salad, hot or cold cereal and fresh-baked muffins!! Special orders for restricted diets are accommodated with a smile.

Spend your days sightseeing the beautiful mid-coast of Maine, with its lighthouses and picturesque villages. Or rent a kayak and explore the waterfront. Walk down the hill from the lodge and swim in a Maine cove! Tell us what you enjoy, and we will help you plan the perfect excursion!

Sprucewold Lodge Dining HallIn the evenings, read a book or play cards in front of a crackling fire. Take a vacation from TV, and put a jigsaw puzzle together or play a rousing game of Monopoly. Of course, the big-screen TV is available in the dining hall for a must-see ball game or a quick look at the news. Relax with a moonlight stroll down to the bay, or watch night fall from the lodge's big front porch.

Sleep in the cool quiet of the nights at the lodge, in one of our cozy rooms, each with a private bath. We think that you will agree that Sprucewold provides a unique and satisfying vacation experience.

Hope to see you,

Richard Pizer
